  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded green and red cabbage with sliced red onion. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the hot dogs.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly brush the hot dog sausages with vegetable oil and place them on the grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through and developing grill marks. Toast the hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Place a grilled sausage in each toasted bun. Top generously with the spicy slaw mixture. Sprinkle crispy fried onions over the slaw and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve immediately and enjoy the perfect combination of textures and flavors!
