Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated. This helps the seasoning stick and promotes even roasting.
- Add the minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using) to the bowl. Toss everything together until the green beans are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they're not overcrowded – this ensures they'll get crispy rather than steam.
- Roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the green beans are tender-crisp and the edges are starting to brown. For extra crispiness, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately. The green beans are best enjoyed hot when the Parmesan is still melty and fragrant.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the pan - use two baking sheets if necessary. Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and flavor. Adjust cooking time based on preference: 15 minutes for tender, 20 minutes for crispy.
