- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss until the beans are evenly coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the beans are tender-crisp and starting to develop golden brown spots.
- Remove from oven and immediately transfer the hot green beans back to the bowl. Add the pesto and parmesan cheese, tossing gently until everything is well combined and the pesto coats each bean evenly.
- Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with additional parmesan and optional nuts if desired, and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Use fresh green beans for best texture, don't overcook to maintain tender-crisp texture, use high-quality pesto, and serve immediately after adding pesto for optimal flavor and texture.
