Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Cook for another 2 minutes to warm through.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately. This dish pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
For even cooking, pound chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning. Cook garlic just until fragrant (about 60 seconds) to avoid bitter flavors. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes after cooking to allow juices to redistribute for tender results.
